The idea for creating Story Locker came to me when my eldest son asked lots of questions about Nana, his Grandmother.

My Mum sadly passed away when I was just 23, so my son never met her.

Aside from some photos and a few old VHS tapes, I realised we had nothing to share with him that captured my mother’s life story, how wonderful she was, or her journey with my father.

I thought how special it would be to create a podcast where my Dad could tell Nana’s story, and my son would be able to learn all about her.
And so, Story Locker was born.

When I played the podcast to my son, he was captivated. That night when I put him to bed, he kept asking if he could listen to Dada’s podcast about Nana again.

With the astounding rise of audio storytelling–especially podcasts–it became clear that a personal podcast is the perfect way to record Life Stories and preserve life’s meaningful moments.
