The idea for creating Story Locker came to me one day when my eldest son asked lots of questions about Nana, his Grandmother. Sadly my Mum passed away when I was just 23 so my son has never got to meet her.  I realised that whilst we had photos to share and a few old VHS tapes, we had nothing to share with him that would truly tell her Life Story, how wonderful she was and her life journey with Dada, his Grandfather.

I started to think how special it would be to create a podcast where my Dad could tell Nana’s story and my son would be able to listen and learn all about her.  So, we did just that and Story Locker was born.  When I played the podcast to my son, he was captivated and that night when I put him to bed, he kept asking if he could listen to Dada’s podcast about Nana again.

With the astounding rise of audio storytelling–especially podcasts–it became clear that a personal podcast is the perfect way to record Life Stories and Life’s meaningful moments and keep them safe. Having a family Story Locker to store precious podcasts together with photographs would create something very special which would be part of families for generations to come.
